Governor Jiang Daming Meets Mayor of Seoul

     On July 19, Governor Jiang Daming met with Mr. OH Se Hoon, Mayor of Seoul, South Korea, and signed an agreement to build partnership between Shandong and Seoul.

     Governor Jiang Daming extended his welcome to the guests and made a brief introduction of Shandong’s economic and social development as well as its support to the reconstruction of quake-stricken areas. The building of partnership between Shandong and Seoul was a new milestone of the cooperation and exchange history between the two sides, Governor Jiang said. He expected more exchanges between the two governments to share the information of city administration and construction, expanded economic exchanges to push forward the cooperation in various sectors such as hi-tech, advanced manufacturing, energy-conservation and environmental protection, and modern service, and also promoted exchanges in culture and tourism for mutual-benefit to achieve a win-win situation.
 
    Mr. OH Se Hoon said, Shandong province, facing South Korea just across the sea, was one of the most advanced provinces of China in terms of both economy and culture. Seoul attached great importance to the cooperation with Shandong and expected strengthened exchanges in various areas, he said.
 
    Vice Governor Cai Limin and other leaders from the province attended the meeting, including Mr. Zhang Wanqing, Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, Mr. Hao Feng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Government, as well as Mr. Lu Zaimo, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
