1. Further change the government function and clarify the responsibility. MOFCOM is mainly responsible for reviewing the medium-and-long term plans and relative policies and regulations of the Fair and the allocation rights of stands will be transferred to local governments. Chinese Foreign Trade Center is responsible to make medium-and-long term plans for the Fair, implement show programs and promote marketing. Local government agencies in charge of commerce affairs are responsible to organize local enterprises to attend the fair.
2. Further complete and improve the monitoring system. Four regulations have been issued aiming at regulating the quantity, position and usage of named brands and common stands.
3. Expand the scale of the Fair, and upgrade the professionalism. Since 104 Session, Pazhou Complex will be put into use, with an exhibition space over 1 million square meters and more than 54,000 exhibition stands. Products for exhibition will be divided into 15 major categories instead of the previous 5. The previous 34 specialized exhibition sections will be regrouped into 50.
4. Comprehensively improve the qualification and commodity quality of the exhibitors. Exhibitors will be required for a specific amount of export volume. Specifications in commodity quality, environmental protection, innovation, intellectual properties protection, social responsibility, credibility are included for the qualification.
5. Adjust the structure of the exhibition areas and increase the proportion of named brands. Since the reform, exhibition groups from local areas will be able to petition according to their demands. Stands for named brands will be increased to 10000 from the last 103 session’s 6300 stands.
