








Dezhou, one of the cradles of Longshan Culture, got its name from Deshui River which was the name of the section of Yellow River in this place. It has a history as long as 2000 years. Located in northwest Shandong, it connects East China and North China and links the inland and the coast, which makes it an important transportation hub for the Bohai-rim Economic Ring.
In the land of 10,000 square kilometers, Dezhou has 5.5 million people in 13 counties and districts. It is an important logistics terminal in northwest Shandong and southeast Hebei and a terminal for flow of people, cargo and information north to the Yellow River.
Aiming to develop agriculture in suburban area, commerce and trade in urban area, and grow to be an energy, chemical and textile base, Dezhou has established a complete industrial system with such nine big categories as textile, chemical, paper making, machinery, electronics, building materials, food, bio-pharmaceutical and new energy and 25 specific lines of business.
