Advantageous industries include automobile and machine processing and manufacturing industry, aluminum and copper metallurgy and processing industry, textile, energy and power, paper and related products, medical and chemical industry, food and agricultural product processing and etc.

 

Liaocheng is a transportation center in China and a major logistics terminal in Northern China. It is the base for the vigorously developing modern tourism and service sectors.

 

 

 

 

Fundamental Industries and Infrastructure Projects: encouraging investment to be put in Liaocheng’s three fundamental industrial projects, namely, the second phase of Liaocheng Power Plant, China (Shandong) Light and Power Co., Ltd., Liaocheng coal mine development and Handan-Jinan Railway double tracks construction; encouraging the investment in the engineering of water supply, gas supply, sewage and rubbish treatment; encouraging development of modern and ecological residential areas, villas and real estate featuring advanced supporting facilities, complete functions and complete auxiliary conditions; encouraging real estate development in new and old urban areas.

 

Industrial Projects:
Based on such key electromechanical enterprises as Shifeng Group, Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd., Guanxian Shuangli Bearing Co., Ltd. and electric cable enterprises, encouraging the development of new- and high-tech products, mainly the new type of technology-intensive products including mini car, high-grade bus, liquid crystal display (LCD) and digital products, rapier loom, rare-earth permanent magnet material, rice and wheat harvester, fibre-optical wiredrawing, fibre-optical preformrod and fibre-optical gyroscope; encouraging the development of machinery spare parts; taking the advantage as the country’s largest electrolytic aluminium production base with an annual output of 360 thousand tons, encouraging investment in in-depth processing of electrolytic aluminium to improve the products’ grade and added value; In accordance with the characteristics of metallurgy and building material industries, encouraging product development projects by utilizing the existing resources of powdered coal and density fibreboard; encouraging the participation in industrial enterprises’ technological innovation, and improving their technological level and promoting the production capacity by way of M&A, purchasing shares and equity transfer; encouraging the development of technologically advanced industries, and the investment in electronics and information industry, optical cable, electromechanical industry, biological pharmaceutical, new material, high-proficient energy conserving and environmental protection, fine chemical, light industry and textile industry

 

Encouraging the establishment of R&D centers and large-scale, modern and comprehensive production bases.

Agricultural Comprehensive Development Projects: encouraging the introduction of fine varieties, cultivation technology and agricultural produce processing technology to improve Liaocheng’s agricultural development level; encouraging the investment in storage, fresh-keeping and comprehensive processing of fruits and agricultural and forest products; encouraging the investment in high-level, water-saving and ecological agriculture; encouraging the investment in grain industralization projects; encouraging the investment in poultry and livestock raising, aquaculture and product comprehensive processing; encouraging the development of animal husbandry and comprehensive processing of meat and milk; encouraging the investment in construction of social service system in rural areas; combined with the production expansion projects of Gaotang Quanlin Paper Co., Ltd. and Yinhe Paper Co., Ltd., encouraging the investment in the construction of Chinese white poplar planting base, cultivation of fast-growing forest, establishment of comprehensive agricultural tourism park and development of forest tourism; encouraging the investment in forest industralization and timber in-depth processing projects, so as to develop Liaocheng into a national density fibreboard and furniture production base; vigorously developing high-grade vegetables, fine vegetables, green fruits and vegetables, export-oriented plant species and plant species for processing, so as to develop Liaocheng into a large green vegetable production, processing and export base well-know in the province even in the country; establishing large-scale agricultural produce and concentrated fruit juice production base based on the existing forest, fruit and agricultural resources.

Commerce and Tourism Projects: based on Xiangjiang Guangcai market which is under construction in Liaocheng, encouraging the investment from factors and wholesale dealers to develop such modern commodity wholesale and retail businesses as shopping centers, super markets and chain stores; encouraging the investment in the development of tourist resources, including Dongchang Lake, Great Canal, Jingyanggang (a hill famous for the famous ancient fiction named Outlaws of the Marsh), Jinpingmei (a famous ancient fiction telling the Adventurous History of Hsi Men and his Six Wives) Park, tourist route based on the famous ancient fiction named Outlaws of the Marsh, large-scale lake amusement facilities and catering facilities; and, encouraging the investment in the construction of Liaocheng People’s Square and related underground super market, and cultural and amusement facilities.
